Qualification overview:

The Level 2 Certificate for Transition to working in Social Care Sector is a qualification aimed at those who are looking into gaining the required skills for them to get employed into the Health and Social Care Sector while also using their transferable skills which can be from any other sector to transitioning into the Health and Social Care Sector. This qualification is also for those who are looking at upskilling their foundational knowledge of Health and Social Care or to continue their knowledge development through Further Education.

The qualification consist of mandatory units and optional units which can lead to a progression to completing Level 2 Certificate in Healthcare Support Services, Level 3 Diploma in Healthcare Support, Level 2 Diploma in Care or Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care. 

Upon completing the qualification in you will be gaining the foundation knowledge required to progress into Employment or Further Education, which is an RQF 14 credits course which can be completed in 12weeks Awarding Body certificated and Ofqual recognised. 

All fees paid for the qualification includes e-portfolio allocation, Tutor support, research and support materials, Certificate issue, Learner support if raised and identified, signing up for the qualification agreed break in learning and qualification can be issued upon request as soon as possibly noticed.


Course structure 

Entry requirement: There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.
This qualification is suitable for those who are looking for work, transitioning between sectors or who are looking to further their education within the health and social care sector.

Method of Assessment: This is an e-portfolio and a combination of performance and knowledge-based  RQF Level 2 Certificate qualification, where learners will be required to compile an e-portfolio of evidence which demonstrates their learning against each assessment criteria of the qualification.

E-portfolio evidence is assessed by specialist tutor while making sure that the learning needs requirement of learner if any is fully supported to ensure smooth learning journey and learner completion timely. This qualification is internally assessed and internally quality assured by Centre staff and externally quality assured.
