The RQF Level 2 Certificate in Understanding the Safe Handling of Medicines aims to help learners to develop a general understanding of different types of medications and their uses.
The knowledge of the procedures for obtaining, storing, administering and disposing of medicines and learn about the relevant legislation and audit process related to the medications and issues of responsibility and accountability.Modern medicines are powerful substances which have beneficial effects for millions of people worldwide.
However, inappropriate use or handling of these substances can have severe, or even fatal, consequences. It is fundamental to have an up-to-date knowledge of the safe handling of medicines for anyone or professionals prompting or administering medication.
This qualification is a great introduction to the different types of medicines, how to record, store and handle them appropriately furthermore it is a 13 credits qualification which can be completed in 2-4 weeks.
