The RQF Level 2 Certificate in Understanding the Safe Handling of Medicines  aims to help learners to develop a general understanding of different types of medications and their uses.

The knowledge of the procedures for obtaining, storing, administering and disposing of medicines and learn about the relevant legislation and audit process related to the medications and issues of responsibility and accountability.
Modern medicines are powerful substances which have beneficial effects for millions of people worldwide. 

However, inappropriate use or handling of these substances can have severe, or even fatal, consequences. It is fundamental to have an up-to-date knowledge of the safe handling of medicines for anyone or professionals prompting or administering medication.

 is a 13 credits qualification which can be completed in 2-4 weeks.

Entry requirement: There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.

Method of Assessment: This is a knowledge -based RQF Level 2 qualification which requires all mandatory units completed in order to achieve the qualification.
24/7 online access available upon registration, including planned Tutor support.

Online e-learning platform is used to support learner while on the program.

Tutors are all sector expert with over 30 years experience of working and delivering within the Health and Social Care sector.
